I hope you don't have it set to 60% all the time. But actually change it
from 100 down to 60 when *you* want it to happen!
And are you referring to onsite-Tapepool or offsite-Copypool?
I manage mine entirely differently. :-)
I set onsite-Tapepool to the next available (highest) tape rec number
using a perl program.
I set offsite-Copypool to a rec number that is comfortable with a complex
formula that floats in my head. rec=highest 15 to 20 eligible tapes if I
have enough scratches to cover it where scratches = scratches-5 for DB
backups, etc, etc. Which usually turns out to be 18,19,20 or 21.
