My understanding of the product is that you can not mount spanned tapes for
single file restore. You will need to restore it to a separate machine and
then copy the file.

Hi, I'm using Tivoli data Protection for Workgroups on a NT 4.0 box. I
performed a job to create a DR Tape for my server. I have around 55 GB of
information in my server and I had to span the information in two tapes
(sequence 1 and 2).
I need to recover a specific file but I don't know how to mount the tapes
in order to have them available form the Windows Explorer.
Information for partition C: is completely on tape1 and i can mount the
infomration for this drive withoot problems. The thing is that the
information I want was originally on drive D: and the information for this
partition is spanned across the tapes.
I imported both tapes and both appear on the Utlilities --> Tape database.
When I try to mount partition D:, the tape name on the tape library filed
appears but can't be selected.
What can I do? Is it necessary to perform a previous operation in order to
mount a partition that is spanned across two tapes?

Thanks in advance,
Regards
