Re: DB Backup failure

Dwight,
There is a script that runs every day to perform a backup of the database
and then about an hour later delete the old one. The volume in question is
not the one listed in q volhist t=dbb. Both tapes are there when I q libvol.
It's been there about a week now. The failure occurred after it had written
about 1/4th the database. It reported the failure and did not try to use
another tape but left that one as is.

Subject: Re: DB Backup failure
Have you made another dbbackup yet ?
sounds like not, maybe...
if you perform a "q volhist t=dbb" do you see your volume in question ?
if so you remove those with the "del volhist t=dbb tod=xxx" but you
can't delete your only dbbackup
if it failed you shouldn't really even see it listed as a dbbackup...?
my thoughts with the info supplied...
