One of our NT guys is telling me that his Compaq Proliant 3000 (Nt 4 SP 4)
has started rebooting during scheduled backups. It appears that the
scheduled backup starts at 22:00. After inspecting 16500 files the box
reboots. The schedule is picked up again and restarted. This repeats until
the schedule window has elapsed. He suspects that the back up of some files
with filenames > 255 characters is causing the problem, but he can not be
sure. We have had problems with long filenames before but never has a box
rebooted.

He can replicate this behaviour by running a backup from the GUI. He has
found this behaviour on 3.1.0.7 and 3.1.0.8.

Has anyone seen this before. Any ideas?

Richard.
