Re: Errors DLT Tapes

We are having similar problems. Whenever there is an I/O error, the tape is
put automatically in READ ONLY by ADSM. We are used to do an AUDIT VOLUME
XXXXX FIX=YES on this XXXX tape and then a MOVE DATA XXXX Stgpoll=YYYYYY
We write down the tape number somewhere in order to follow other possible
errors on this tape but we keep it on line.
An other tricky I/O error occurred and it was because of the light inside
the library that interfered with the LCD camera of the robot. Now we have
switched off the light and covered the windows of the library. It works
better but we still have random errors.
I hope it helps.
