You can also use NLTEST or NETDOM from the NT Resource Kit to reset the
secure channel and it should fix the problem. NETDOM can be found here if
you don't have the RK:

Hello fellow *Sm'ers,
I recently attempted a restore of an NT 4.0 SP4 Workstation from an NT TSM
3.7 Server. This is what I did.
The pc was re-partitioned and re-formatted due to severe NT failure.
NT 4.0 was installed to a temp folder called WINNT2
The TSM client was re-installed and connection made to the TSM server.
A restore was made of the C drive. All fine
I then re-booted the restored NT (WINNT folder) and re-stored the registry
from adsm.sys.
On reboot, all registry changes seemed to be correct. However, the
workstation had lost it's trust in the
Domain and could no longer log in at all. The message saying no trust
relationship existed with the domain.
I re-tried this once more, but again, after the registry was restored, the
trust was lost. In NT Server manager, I
deleted the workstation out of the domain and then re-added, all to no
avail. Same error.
Can anyone shed any light on this problem Please reply to my business email
as well if you can.
Many thanks,
