I am not at liberty to discuss details about possible
future function to be added to the product.

Having said that...if said mentioned function where to
be added to the SQL Application Client...
I could see that being a solution for your particular
situation.

BTW, I just learned that the TDP database-agents will soon (later this
year)
be enhanced so normal backup/archive policy rules control expiration... in
that context, could we (eventually) use archive and different management
classes to accomplish the different retention?!?

(The purpose behind this is to correct logical db corruption that goes
undetected for more than two weeks... they don't want to pay for storage of
6 weeks worth of backups, they're willing to accept less granularity on the
FULL restore if they need to go back more than 2 weeks... harkens back to
the GFS days of full-cold backups.)
