Remember that files may span tapes... so just 'cause it is a 2GB tape
doesn't mean the "tape" only has an official 2GB of data on it... ALSO
there is the tape drive compression factor... a 2GB (is that a 2490E ? ?)
might have 4-6GB on it and then it might STILL span tapes :-(
ain't life grand !
