We had a Win-98 client display the same error some time ago ( 3.1.0.6 or 7
I'm sorry I can't remember ). The error only occurred when backing-up
via the GUI; if we 'dsmc incr * -su=yes' from the command line it all
went fine, registry too. Another colleague then set MEMORYEFFICIENT=YES
in the opt file and that cured the problem with the GUI. I can't explain
why it did though ! - the machine had 64mb of RAM which should have been
sufficient.
