RE: Windows 2000 is NOT supported with either VERITAS NetBackup
version 3.2, or with NetBackup BusinesServer 3.3.
Dear Valued Customer,
Windows 2000 is NOT supported with either VERITAS NetBackup version 3.2, or
with NetBackup BusinesServer 3.3.
Recently VERITAS Software has discovered that if Windows 2000 is installed
on a system currently using either NetBackup 3.2, or NetBackup
BusinesServer 3.3, with OTM (Open Transaction Manager) enabled, it produces
a blue screen error:
#define DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE.
This error condition is triggered by a reboot, a system shutdown, a
hibernation of the system, or a system suspension.

Windows 2000 will be supported with our next release of NetBackup
DataCenter 3.4, which will have a version of the OTM driver that is
compatible with Windows 2000.
