I think this came up on the list recently and Andy Raibeck replied with a
solution.

I am installing the TSM 3.7 NT Client on a NT server and the install does not
pick up my pre-configured dsm.opt
file from the C:\tsmcli\win32\intel\config directory.    I have a copy of the
file under name dsm.opt and ba_dsm.opt
in that directory.  I believe this is what Andy said we need to do in his recent
reply to a question on this list.
At the end of the install when I start the GUI backup client it begins the
configuration wizard as if
I did not provide a dsm.opt file in the config directory.  The maint. level of
the client I'm installing is the fixtest
3.7.1.03.  Anyone else encountered and resolved this problem?
