NT Restore problem
2000-02-08 16:42:20
We're attempting the following restore
dsmc> restore d:\kelly\*.doc -subdir=yes -replace=yes
is yielding an ANS4005 error. The error indicates a file had been deleted
before a backup or archive operation occurred. Bogus!
Be that as it may, we can get the restore to work if take ownership of the
directory where this file is to go. Not a good solution, but indicates we
have a problem with permissions with respect to writing files into the
directory. How do we give the user sufficient privilege to write the file
without taking ownership of the directory or file?
We tried scheduling the restore command thinking that the service could back
it up, certainly it could restore it too.
TIA,
