You can do it that way no problem - just change the management class/ backup
copy group to point to the new collocated pool.

However, when I did it, I had a LOT of clients, and a tape robot.  So I
prefere the method of just moving the data around in the storage pool to
achieve collocation, instead of sending it over the network again by forcing
full backups.

If you just change the attributes of the existing pool to collocate,
thereafter any data you write will be done collocated.
Any output from reclaim processes will be collocated, as will the results of
any MOVE DATA commands.  So you can just select the existing tapes, do a
MOVE DATA, and have ADSM reshuffle all the data on the back end until the
entire pool is collocated.

Just another way of doing the same thing...
