I didn't know there was a 3.1.40 client; we have used 3.1.0.x clients on NT
and successfully completed DR restores from a variety of server levels (ie,
3.1.1.5, 3.1.2.20, and 3.1.2.40). In doing a complete system restore, we
generally follow the RedBook scenario, as in ...
restore C: drive
copy registry files from adsm.sys to system32\config
(moving user profiles up one level, so all hives are under config)
verify boot.ini is correct (for testing, ensure WINNT-DR is there,
in case of problems with production restore)
reboot to the production/normal WINNT (which re-establishes SID)
restore remaining partitions
I don't understand the nomenclature you're using...
> ADSM $B!> (B Windows NT
> $B!G (Bs to d: and e:,
Hope this helps, anyway.
