Have you checked the eventlogs?
Sometimes, when performance counters are not set, DRWatson comes to visit.
Check for excessive perfmon.dll messages in the eventlog.
If so, this is what we did.
PERFORMANCE MODULE "DSMCPERF.DLL" IS NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY.
NT EVENT VIEW REPORTS "PERFIB" ERRORS AGAINST DSMCPERF.DLL
Problem described in APAR IC24370.
LOCAL FIX:
From the /adsm/baclient subdir, issue the commands:
1. unlodctr "ADSM Client Performance"
2. lodctr perfctr.ini
This will eliminate the error messages
If it is something else, send us the logs, or trace.
