Dick,

I'm sorry, I don't use the GUI at all, I'm a command line fan. If you look
into the manual "Using the UNIX Backup-Archive Client" at the command
"query access" (in my manual this is at page 216) the is mentioned, that
the access to files may be granted via the set access command or the "Set
Authorization" on the GUI utilities menu. That means to me you should one
of these but I'm not sure.
Did you use the same userid for the dsmc command as with the GUI? Sorry for
that stupid question, but I cannot explain why this shouldn't work for the
GUI but the commandline.

It is possible to set the access as you described, the following happens
now;

I can see the files using dsmc q ar "/project/tape12/*" but the GUI (dsm)
does
not show any files.

Any ideas
