Yes.  You can boot the system into single user mode from CDROM, setup
the network, unpack the *SM client, restore file systems and reboot.

Check the ADSM List archives (www.adsm.org); sometime ago I posted a
how I did this and the gotchas.


If you have a locally attached tape drive, you can use ufsdump to cut
tape(s) of the system partition(s).  Boot from CDROM, use ufsrestore
to put back the system partions(s) and then use ADSM to restore
applications and data and bring the system disks up-to-date.
