     Paul,

I think you're having authorisation problems on the network drive,
possibly due to the fact that the ADSM scheduling service is running
as a system account and has no rights on the ehebacpa machine. To mend
this you would have to exchange the the system account for an
(administrators) id that has the proper rights (registry including)
for any local and remote drives.
Are you sure the affending NT machine was'nt recently upgraded to ADSM
Version 3.1.0.5, this would explain the domain T: not being accepted.
V3105 is a kinky version and I would definitely advise you to upgrade
to V3107 (or at least V3106).

     regards Walter Ridderhof

Hi ADSMer's,

Could someone help me with this ?

Since some time I have problem with backup from networkdrive, I think since we
did
upgrade our OS/390 MVS Server to 3.1.2.40, but I am not sure about this.

The client is Windows/NT with ADSM version 3 .1.0.5

Before there was mentioned in dsm.opt file : "Domain all-local T:" and this did
work fine.
Suddenly I did start getting msg ANS1071E Invalid domain name entered: 'T:'

I did change DSM.OPT to "Domain All-Local \\ehebacpa\c$"
and in logfile is mentioned that backup was successfull, but in fact it didn't
backup anything.
In the errorlog next msgs are written :

Contents DSM Error Log :

11.01.2000 19:00:16 getFileShareInfo(): connectRegistry() for machine ehebacpa
failed, rc=53. Registry will not be backed up. Error is ignored.
11.01.2000 19:00:40 fioScanDirEntry(): *** Skipping unreadable directory:
'\\ehebacpa\c$'
11.01.2000 19:00:40 PrivIncrFileSpace: Received rc=106 from fioGetDirEntries:
\\ehebacpa\c$

Contents DSM Schedule Log :
11.01.2000 19:00:09 Incremental backup of volume '\\EHEBACPA\C$'
11.01.2000 19:00:40 Successful incremental backup of '\\EHEBACPA\C$'

When I initiate the backup via GUI then there is no problem.

Thanks for any help on this issue.
