I think part of the problem we're experiencing with this particular machine
stems from the type of application it's running. There are a great number of
people who have write access to the same files, and although I understand
some conventions are in place, it looks as though most are not followed.
Therefore, a great number of files become duplicates since one person may
save the file with all capitals, the next one second later, saves the file
with mixed lettering, and then a 3rd person saves the same file another
second later with all small letters. THEN a programmer supporting the
application comes along later, reindexes the whole thing, adds and deletes
URLs, and other similar entities, and voila!
A big mess --- all within the space of one business day!

BUT, the application support group DOES have a problem with the date/time
stamp not reflecting the most recent date/time stamp as found on the
physical machine. If this is indeed a limitation or quirk of the OS, then I
can explain it that way --- I don't want to tread on their application
because even though they give the appearance of not understanding the guts
of application, they're the ones who work with it on a daily basis, not me.

Opinions? Further comments?
