One of my co-workers wrote a document describing the procedure we use for
this. I am sending a copy to the sender of the mail quoted above. The document
is long enough (a bit over 4 kilobytes) that I don't think it appropriate to
broadcast it to the list unless I see signs of broader interest in the topic.
