I'm sitting on the fence as well -- and I may be here for quite some time.
This clause in the readme is a sticking point for us:

I don't have any problem with making the backup. BUT if I do have to fall
back, I have a legal requirement to keep all archives that were created
under the new server and MUST have a way of re-cataloging them under the
prior version of the database *within ADSM*. I don't know if export
node/import node would do this; even if it does, I don't know if I'd have
the time to do it.
