They have always quoted 3:1, on both Magstar-MP and Magstar (3590).

Here are my stats, which are pretty darn close to that 3:1, and I have a
lot of tapes...

Average data on All 3570 tapes (MB/tapes) = 21878495.4/1484 = 14742.92 MB
Average data on Full 3570 tapes (MB/tapes) = 21777738.6/1472 = 14794.65 MB
Average data on Vaulted 3570 tapes (MB/tapes) = 12675470.0/828 = 15308.53MB
Average data on non-DEPT 3570 tapes (MB/tapes) = 7739643.1/547 = 14149.25MB
Average data on Primary DEPT tapes (MB/tapes) = 1463382.3/109 = 13425.52MB
Average % in use of Full 3570 tapes = 60.53%
