ADSMers,
We recently proposed an ADSM solution with an HP-UX V-class machine as
the
ADSM server. We were asked by upper management why not a NT as the ADSM
server. Ok, many of you will laugh, I'm sorry but please hold your
comments. To the rest of you, I honestly need to know what the limitations
of NT are so we could tell them how many NT machines it would take. I am
looking for the following:
1) Any through put numbers you might have. I have heard NT can handle up
to 50 GB an hour with V3.1.2.40 and up to 80 GB with V3.7.
2) Number of clients you have connected an NT based ADSM server. Can it
handle 50 -100, 100 -200, or 200 + clients?
3) We are finding that it may be an expansion slot issue. What Intel
machines are you using and how many slots do they have?
4) Any other information you feel might be of use to us.

Thank you in advance for your comments,
        Kyle
