Dirk - Yes, ANS1449E is documented.  Look in Chapter 8. Command-Line Client 
Messages
       (1053--3999).  True, message explanations may be lacking, but I've
found the documentation people to be VERY responsive to input and suggestions.
If we do nothing about problems, they surely remain problems.

In the front of every manual is a description of how to communicate with them.
See extract below.  I would encourage all customers to do so, as it all
contributes towards mutual aid.
