I'm not familiar with the linux client and we are not using dhcp, but
my $0.02:

AFAIK: If you are using 'client polling' mode I think the server does
not have to know the ip address. And- every time the scheduler is
restarted, it connects to the server and changes connection info.

We are using the scheduler with the passw param (dsmc
sched -pass=???), but some systems hide the password in ps (aix),
others not (solaris). Don't know about linux.
