Hi,
also I dont know your library type: This is the "normal/usual" way how it works
:
AIX creates the /dev/rxxx devices ( after reboot or cfgmgr command ). You have
to define the /dev/mxx devices with smitty devices -> ADSM Devices -> Tape Drive
-> Add a tape drive ....

Good day all, just wondering how AIX or ADSM creates the /dev/mtXX devices from
the /dev/rmtXX devices. Is that an ADSM task? or an AIX task. The reason I ask
is I just added two new tape drives to my STK9730 robot and the other two drives
that were there before have /dev/mt1 and /dev/mt2 entries . Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks!

-Anthony
