Unfortunately, the AIX and Solaris operating system NLS Locale disciplines
are involved here - and there's no guarantee that any application will
actually adhere to them.  That is, the clients may well be coded to simply
put out N-digit year values, regardless of any specifications to the
contrary.  I remember in ADSMv2 of how simply going to a later client level
caused client log dates to go from 2-digit years to 4, with no change to any
operating system or ADSM client options.
    Remember, in starting the new millenium we can readily begin using 1-digit
year values, for 10 years!         ;-)
