On my server, VM, DB utilization is reported in 4k pages.  If the data base
entries you are deleting are randomly scattered thruout the DB, you may just
be fragmenting your DB in that you are creating 600 byte holes in a 4k page.
The hole is still usable space, but the page would still be reported as
being used.
