It shouldn't backup every file and directory if there is a domain statement
for a specific drive and explicit include and exclude statement for the
specific files & directories.
By default, if a domain statement is not specified, ADSM uses DOMAIN
ALL-LOCAL.

Check the "Inatalling the Clients" manual ( SH26-4080-01 ) Page 153

        Andres,
                If c: , d: , e: , and f: are the only disks on your system,
you
        migth try the following include/exclude statements in this order;

                exclude *:\...\*
                include d:\instaladores\...\*.*

If you use the DOMAIN D: option in your dsm.opt file, ADSM will
back up
every directory and file on the d: drive.

You will also need to stop and restart the adsm scheduler process
running
on the client each time you make a change to the include/exclude
file or
dsm.sys or dsm.opt file in order to refresh the in memory copy of
these
files (at least you have to for AIX clients, I'm not sure about NT
clients,
but if you find your changes aren't being picked up, try it).

        Rick
