Hello,
First off, I apologize if this is not the correct forum for this type of
question.
I was hoping to get some input on how to configure a lab for testing the
ADSM Exchange connect agent.
I was considering setting up a server using the "Spare Server On-line"
concepts mentioned in TechNet as well as ADSM documentation. You configure
the Exchange system with the same organization and site name and choose
Create New Site having a unique computer name during installation. I would
then have a replicated database of actual mail boxes after restoring the
PRIV.EDB and running the DS/IS consistency adjuster.
Having never done this before I am a little concerned over the potential for
any minor or serious repercussions to production environments.
The alternative would be to set up a separate system altogether, manually
creating a couple of test mail boxes and users and just do some small scale
testing.
If anyone has any suggestions on documentation or real world experience
input I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
Damian Ryan
