Two ideas:

1. If you look on index.storsys.ibm.com, in the fixtest directory, you will
notice a fixtest version of the 3107 Netware client.  The README file
documents that they have removed MAC namespace support, and describe the
reason (problem) they did it.

2. If you are backing up remote volumes (from another Netware server) from
this Netware server, make sure you upgrade the NLMs on the remote server as
well as the local one (running ADSM client).
