Hello everyone,

I am having a very, VERY basic problem with the ODBC driver. It doesn't prompt
for a username or password at all. I've tried through several different
applications, including Microsoft Query, Esperant, and Visual Foxpro (both 5
and 6). When a datasource is selected, it prompts for the ADSM server name,
connection mode, server address, and port number. After filling all these in,
I always get an error immediately. The error text ranges from a simple GPF, to
an "Undefined Error" in Microsoft Query. Never do see a login prompt. After a
failed attempt, I check the activity log on the computer, and I see an
attempted Administrator Login, but it fails with the following error:

ANR0423W Session 339 for administrator (WinNT) refused -
                       administrator name not registered.

You will note that the server is receiving a blank administrator name. There
is a space where the name should be, followed by the platform.

I've checked all the documentation I have, as well as searched IBM's web site.
Can't find anything to give me any leads. The installation/setup instruction
for the ODBC driver in the documentation merely mentions that it is installed
with the Client.

Server:

ADSM Server 3.1.2.40 on AIX 4.3.2

Desktop:
Windows NT 4 (SP5)
ADSM Client for NT Version 3.1.0.7

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
