Re: disk-pool performance

I have seen some performance benchmarks somewhere along the line that
concur with what Nathan found when he went from a RAID-5 disk stgpool
to a RAID-0 or 1.
From what I have found, ADSM disk pool performance is best optimized
when ADSM is manages his own disk volumes on a JBOD array. Then
within that JBOD array, using as many spindles as possible and
several 2-8GB logical volumes (depending on the size of the disks
being used) within the logical volumes.
