I find debating this technicality a bit much...but...

I never said 3.1.2.40 was the first to support 3590E.
Yes, the 3.1.2.22 does support the 3590E.  The .22 was made avilable
 "officially" as an "unsupported" version. (a "fixtest")

The note was an attempt to empahsize the .30 didn't include 3590E support
because people get confused as to the versioning (.22 vs. .30 vs. .40).
Intuitively, one would think .30 would have E support, but it didn't
last time I checked.  Which is farily trivial point now that .40 is out.
