It should not disturb the database and log files during an upgrade.  But, as
always, have a good backup of the db and know how to use it before
continuing as one never knows.

If you are going to install from a web kit as opposed to your original CD,
you will want to squirrel away the license files and the license program. I
forget the name, but it will be an executable in the server directory with
"lic" in it.  Look for it and all *.lic files and hide them before the
install and copy them back afterwards.
