Rob,

We are on OS/390 ADSM server 3.1.2.20, backing up NT, AIX, HP-UX, Netware,
Windows. We have had a DR plan in place for approximately the last 4 years. We
have STK silos with 3490 devices, and interface with CA-DYNAM/TLMS as our tape
management system. All movement of tapes and location is controlled through
TLMS, but the accessability status within ADSM and reclamation of the tapes,
copying the storage pools, etc. is performed via administrative commands on the
server. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to discuss. It works like a
charm.

                         Ginny

Subject: Offsite Vaulting/Disaster Recovery

We are in the process of creating a disaster recovery plan for our OS/390
and several NT servers. Our ADSM server (3.1.2.0) is running on OS/390.
Has anyone established an offsite vaulting and disaster recovery plan NOT
using the Disaster Recovery Manager (DRM) feature of ADSM. I have done some
work setting up a COPY storage pool but have encountered vaulting issues
relating to full backups versus incrementals. I think that it may be easier
(but more expensive!!) to use DRM but I need to determine if it can be done
without DRM.

Thanks for your help...
