I have noticed that going from tcp/ip to shared mem has really increased the
speed of the "network transfer rate" by almost 500 percent. However, our
"aggregate" transfer rate is still around the 5-7 MB/s range which is about
the same as when we were running with tcp/ip. I believe this is due to some
other limitations -- perhaps the scsi bus to out 3590's. Not really sure
about it though.
Anyone else care to comment?
