You set your drive on the /dev/rmt0. Same thing happened to me on AIX, the
process must be similar on Solaris : define a ADSM tape drive (/dev/mt0)
over the same scsi address of /dev/rmt0 and leave /dev/rmt0 unavailable
(not really necessary, but prevents system from using the dedicated ADSM
tape drive).

And here is my complain : ADSM still doesn't have a single way to configure
tape libraries ... some devices work directly on the /dev/rmtX , other need
to define /dev/mtX ... my only choice is trying.
