Don,
First, check you spelling in "adsm:2:resqawn:/opt/...".
Your line should read "adsm:2:respawn:/opt/...".
Second, I'm not quite sure why you really need
to respawn dsmc. Unless dsmc has been aborting
and you want it to restart automatically. If that's
the case you might have a problem with the client.
Otherwise, try the following:
dsmsched:2:once:/usr/lpp/adsm/bin/dsmc sched > /dev/null 2>&1
