I think that the only way to find a ADSM software for AS/400 is
install an IBM's ADSM License program on AS/400.
You have to negotiate with your IBM's sales men about the purchasing.

I didn't understand exactly what did you mean "AS/400 client software".
For example, we use AS/400 as ADSM Server. So we installed the appropriate
software
(IBM's License program 5769SV3 - ADSTAR Distributed Storage Manager for
AS/400, Version 3).
If you want to use AS/400 as a client for ADSM - you want to backup your
AS/400 machine/s
on ADSM Server - in this case, as I know, you can backup AS/400 only on
another AS/400 and by
usage of IBM's BRMS product (5769BR1- Backup Recovery and Media Services for
AS/400),
but prove it with your IBM representation.
