I am trying to backup and restore an exchange database, and not having very
much success.

Here is what I have:

2 Exchange Servers configured identically (except for drive letters)
Exchange 5.5, SP2
NT 4.0, SP5
ADSM server 3.x (unsure of minor revision)
ADSM Client 3.x
ADSMConnect for Exchange 1.1.0.0B

On Server 1, I have performed a full backup using the ADSMConnect agent.
No Problem
On Server 1, I have performed a restore of a Full backup (Private and Public
Information stores only) - no problem
On Server 2, I have performed a restore of a full backup (Private and Public
IS, Delete Existing logs) - problem.

After the restore, the IS service on exchange starts properly, but when I
run the DS/IS consistency check (as stated in the documentation), my event
log shows errors to the effect that the Private IS is from Server 1, and the
Consistency check will be ignored.  I am unable to retrieve any information
from the restore.

Here are the steps I performed (following instructions in the manual)
The DSM.OPT file from server 1 was copied to server 2 (as per the manual
stating to create an identical one)
GUI launched, and in the left pane, the IS was selected.  In the right
pane, the ADSM server icon was selected.
restore Tab selected, and then clicked on Show All - to reveal all backups
from Server 1
desired IS was selected, and restore initiated.
After restore complete, IS was started (no errors encountered)
Exchange Administrator started and DS/IS Consistency check initiated.
events 7018, 7037 and 7024 were noted in event log.  Event 7018 is the
event stating that the consistency check will be ignored.

Am I missing something?, or is the manual incorrect?  Any help will be
greatly appreciated.
