In the readme for ADSM/VM 2.1 I found the following description which should
cover
your situation. The description talks about a 3591 control unit. This lets a
3590 drive be
seen as a 3490E by the operating system and ADSM.
I would be very interested in how it works because I'll have to do the same
in the near
future.
