During the backup of a primary storage pool to create offsite tapes we use
three processes (six tape drives) in a
3494 ATL.
Does anybody know how to avoid one copy process waiting for a tape to be
released from another copy process:
Typically we get:
"Waiting for access to input volume xxxxxx (2804seconds).  "
This obviously dramatically increases the time it takes to create our
offsite tapes.
Any suggestions welcome.
