Eric,
Our server is currently at 3.1.2.20 in an SP(wide node) environment
running on AIX 4.3.2.0. The database is 10GB and log is 4GB.
If ADSM support is 100% accurate with their recommended temporary
fix by simply adjusting the buffer pool, then by all means, increase
your
buffer pool size to at least half the systems real memory. That's what
I did. The last Cache Hit Pct is at 97.22%. So we are looking good.
I failed to reproduce the buffer pool problem. I set the size to 16MB
and the server did not crash even with full backup activity.
