Been there, done that!

The fromnode option should work provided that you have gone to the
originating netware box, SERVER1, and gone into loop mode and issues the
following command:
SET ACCESS BACKUP SERVER1\DATA: SERVER2
make sure that the nodename is apecifies for the "SERVER2" if it is
different than the actual server name.


I have also found that you might want to use this restore command:
res -fromnode=adsmnet1 Server1\data: Server2\data:\ -su=yes

        I've done the restore you're talking about a lot.  The easiest way
that I can do it is as follows:

        First I unload ADSM and TSA410 from the server I want to restore
from, this is for safety.  Then I unload ADSM from the server I want to
restore to.  Next I modify the DSM.OPT on the server I want to restore to
and tell ADSM that it is really the server I want to restore from.  Then I
finally reload ADSM.

        I then use a command line similar to the following:

        restore server1/vol1:/* server2/vol1:/ -pitd=07/08/99

        I've tried the other method of giving the second server rights to
the first servers filespaces, but the restores always failed part way
through.

        Hello all

        Is there a way to restore a volume from one Novell v4.11 Server to
another
        Novell v4.11 Server?

        I have tried using:
        res -fromnode=adsmnet1 Server1\data:* Server2\data:* -su=yes
        res -fromnode=adsmnet1 Server1\data:* Server2\data: -su=yes

        I get:
        invalid destination

        Any help would be appreciated
