Thomas,
FixtestB of the Connect Agent has a command which allows automatic deletion
of backups older than a specified number of days.

Subject: Deleting ADSM Exchange backups
Dear ADSMers,
the deeper I get into ADSM the more questions I have.
Some weeks ago I started backing up our Exchange server
with the ADSMConnect Agent for Exchange.
There is a command that allows the deletion of Exchange backup
objects based on how old a backup object is.
I do a full backup every weekend and incremental backups during
the week. I would like to keep one or two generations (full backup
plus all incremental backups till the next full backup is done) and
delete all other objects.
If I understand the documentation correctly I will have to write a
program to select the objects to be deleted.
How do you handle your backup files and how do you delete the old
ones?
Has IBM ... sorry .. TIVOLI any plans to enhance the deletion
process?
Kind regards
Thomas Rupp
