We used to have CA-1 (now we are a DFSMSrmm) and also did vaulting.

We took the list of OFFSITE tapes and use this list to update CA-1 with
Batchjobs.
Be aware that there is often a liitle time delay (up to 30 seconds) between
ADSM and CA-1 in synchronising the tape infos via the ARCTVEXT. May be this
is the reason why you have tapes that are "out of sync" with CA-1.
