Good point, Dwight.  And "it all depends..."  If your concurrent usage of
the drives is intense, you need to limit the number on a single I/O chain
according to conduit capacity.  Client backups which go directly to tape
often involve a lot of skipping of ineligible files and so no I/O at those
times, which improves your ability to perform a number of concurrent backups,
because they are less likely to be concurrently writing at the same time.  All
the variables in configuration work make administration lots of fun.  :-)
