I am doing a relocation of one 3494 library to another building and need
to have 2 AIX ADSM servers using a partitioned 3494 Library. I hope
someone has done this before and can give me advice on if the following
will work:

Currently:
-Lib 1 has one server with 6 x 3590-B1A drives. Private Category: 300,
Scratch 301.
Scratch 301.
-Lib 2 has one server with 4 x 3590-B1A drives. Private Category: 300,
Scratch 301.
Scratch 301.

The change:
-2 drives from LIB 2 will temporary go into LIB 1 and the LIB2 ADSM
server will be attached to those tape drives. The tapes from LIB 2 will
server will be attached to those tape drives. The tapes from LIB 2 will
be put into LIB1 to be used by the same ADSM server as before.

The major problem here as I see it is that the categories are the same
on both libraries.

I understand that I can change the categories with the mtlib command but
I am not sure if the following would work or if there is another easier
alternative:

-Shutdown the LIB2 Server after migrating all the data from disk and a
DB backup
DB backup
-Change the categories to insert as per the ADSM admin guide (which is
what in Hex?)

-Delete the library/drives from ADSM
-Take down the AIX system (both servers)

Any suggestions? Do I need to export/import instead?
