It's really difficult to do things with 'full backups' because they don't
really exist in ADSM as unique selectable objects.

You mention the cheapness of 3480's.  If you still have the equipment
and a lot of old media, why not go back to it for the offsite copies?

If you don't, you could get some old 3480's or 3490's for a song, and used
media is available for $1 or less per cartridge.
